am i allowed to request that my daughter is born on her due date and not a day later.

My due date is today and when I saw my OB 2 days ago, she was the one that brought up if I don't go into labor on my own by this Friday, when I'll be 40 wks 5 days then she's inducing me that day. Hope to go into labor on my own though. I heard pitocin is a b**** . :(

Walmart?

I'm pretty sure someone told my if your water breaks in Walmart, you get a years supply of free diapers. Is that true? Also, are their any other places that do things like that if you go into labor at their establishment?

Waiting.....

Well DH is home, house is spotless, nursery is ready, car seat installed, bags packed for all 3 of us, and mom is ready. I have done everything I can think of to prepare to bring little one home and apparently he is comfy where he is. Now all I can do is wait on my little bugger to decide to make his entrance into the world. Waiting is brutal. I am due Friday an. I hope my sweet sweet little man decides to come this week.

Any other ladies out there completely ready for their little one and he/she is taking their time?

Same here...I'm due today and nothing is going on. I've been 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced for the past 2 weeks. My nursery is done, all his clothes are washed n organized, house is in order and baby gear is ready. I even scrubbed down my kitchen cabinets this past week. I bounce on a labor ball every day today hoping that will help. Drinking raspberry leaf tea...I'm convinced that no matter what they say can help induce labor, our little ones are just going to come when they feel they're ready. My OB is inducing me this Friday, the 12th if he decides to stay in my belly all week. Hoping not to be induced since I've heard lots of horror stories regarding pitocin. Good Luck though Mama...we'll be there soon enough. :)

Just arrived at L&D. Contractions 10 to 5min apart, approximately 40" to 1' long. Bleeding since 9am after membrane sweep at 8:30. Local time in Rio, Brasil: 4pm. This is it, isn't it, mommas? Wish me luck!!!

FTM. Weird??

I'm a ftm, currently 37w5d...is it weird that I have yet 2 have any contractions....including never having bh either. I mean if I've had them I haven't notice it....AT ALL!! had a doc appt last week & although my Lo is head 1st I'm not dilated AT ALL...anyone else sharing the same issue???

I'm 39 weeks 3 days...have felt braxton hicks contractions twice, went to my OB last Friday and she said I was already 3 centimeters dialated. 5 days later...here I am. No more contractions and still pregnant. I feel everyone's frustration. I just want to see my lil one already. ????

Chocolate cake!! Update, no good

I think I'm going to make me a nice delicious chocolate cake!! Yummy I think I deserve it, I might even save a piece for DH.

Since I was gonna make a cake, I looked up recipe for labor cake. I had the ingredients so I made it. Had one big slice, was yummy! But now I have a tummy ache and pooping like crazy. Sorry tmi. Is that suppose to happen? Anyone try it yet?

My niece made me the labor cake on Sunday...it didn't do anything but it was very, very good. LOL. ????
