Let's discuss the things they don't tell you in books about being a first time mom. Experienced moms please weigh in. I'll do my best to remember how awkward and terrifying those first weeks are.
THINGS NOBODY TELLS YOU
1) You will become a poop expert!
2) Your baby WILL have a blowout, most likely in public, so bring extra clothes or a blanket. You can torture your child with the story when they are a teenager.

Okay so, this morning while driving in my car my 5 year old blurted out that his grandfather ( on his dads side) has been sucking his privates!!!!! His dad lives with the grandparents and my son goes there every weekend!! I am shaking and panicking, he says he does it lots!! I called the police and they are coming here to take a statement from me, my mom feels like I jumped to the gun to fast, because kids make up stories! But I believe him, he wasn't laughing about it! He said it out of no where!! I'm freaking out I don't know what to do.......UPDATE!!!!!!!!! So the grandfather got his interview today, from what I heard from my sons dad is that the police tried to arrest him, he called his lawyer and I guess they let him go because they don't have enough proof of anything, he has to to go back in 2 weeks for a lie detector test which he is bringing his lawyer to, my sons dad said there were some yelling matches going on, I can never get a clear story from him, so I just called the detective 5 minutes ago and left a message, so hopefully he will call me back soon, and I can get some better input on whats going on..I will update when I hear from the detective...thanks again everyone for caring!

Hey ladies so im a little concerned n need a bit of advice! I had my baby boy nearly 3 weeks ago.... So my bleeding has slowed right down to a brownish discharge...but... Every time i have a bowel movement wen i wipe the blood is bright red again there isnt alot there and it doesnt gush out but i am just a bit worried i dont understand if its normal! Has this happened to anyone else???

Just wanted to tell every one my little story, im 34 weeks with my first, yesterday night and morning i was having funny belly pains enough to keep me awake and restless, wen i woke up my mil and sil told me to ring the hospital just incase, i was nervous to i didnt want every one thinking i was over reacting! But i called anyway and tey told me to get checked up, so up to the hospital i went (with my hubby in toe).
Needless to say i was having mild contractions, so they gave me nifedipine to slow them down/stop them, wich they did. So i have had a very nice stay in hospital for the night, i just wanted to have a little rant about how lovely my midwives and nurses were! And ill be glad to give birth at this hospital in there hands :) i am looking forward to going home and sleeping in my own bed however! These beds are soooo uncomfy! :)

that I want to wake my husband up because I can't sleep :)
It's 2am and Squid is kicking the crap out of me and thinking it's Fetus Party time. I want to justify waking up dh by explaining to him that since his (probably not 100% human) son is keeping me up, he should be up too!
