I'll start. I confess.... I was fired from a great job for "falsifying" a document. Never proven but my main confession is none of my family knows I was let go much less the reason. (I live w dh in our own place) but my parent would still be mad...they think I go to work everyday.
EDIT: Just re-reading this post that I started WEEKS ago... Dang there are crazy secrets... Anyone confess theirs to loved ones yet?
Last Wednesday 18/07 I went for my last scheduled OB appt at 39+2. My OB decided last minute to do internal & complete a stretch & sweep. She told me at the internal I was 1cm and she would stretch me to possibly help with Labour. So she did this & I left feeling crampy, slightly bleeding and had a huge backache. She told me she thinks ill be lucky to last 48 hrs.
Along came the 22/07 (96 hours later)and was still feeling crampy & had started bleeding again after all symptoms stopping the day before. I didnt think much and went final baby supply shopping since I was due the next day and figured I wont have much time afterwards just in case. Went shopping most of the day and came home to do normal housework. Upon cooking dinner at 8pm I felt what I believed to be a contraction. I let a few happen and realised they were 8 minutes apart. I stayed at 8 minutes apart for 1.5 hours then it changed to 7 mins apart for another 1.5 hours. went to 6 mins apart for 1.5 hours and I called the hospital & advised I would make my way once they were 5 mins apart...
so 5 mins apart came and finally got to hospital at 2am... Was the only one in L&D! contractions were well & truly hurting like crazy at this stage so I got checked & I was 7cm Dilated! I asked for the Epidural & after an hour and at 8cm it finally started working- what a relief & Godsend!! I was able to rest after having the IV & Catheter inserted (GBS+) and at 9cm my water finally broke-just missing the docs face! I was told at 6:30am I was 10cm but we'll wait an hour as he had turned and was facing wrong way. At 7:45pm I started pushing, and after an hour it was decided that they would set up for Vacuuming his head as it was stuck a bit transverse in the birth canal & his heart rate was dropping everytime I pushed at a contraction... so they got setup but the doc using the vacuum had to attend next door to a lady who arrived needing an emergency.
In the meantime I was able to push his head out, stopped momentarily so nurses could remove cord that was around his neck (not tight thank god) and then pushed the rest of him out to be told my team green was team blue! daddy was very happy as he'd secretly hoped for a boy!
He arrived at 9.01am and no stitches required, only having gas & epidural. They only came across a small 1st degree (skin) tear very internal not needing stitches...
So here we are almost 40 hours after & he is sleeping beauty-for now! Breastfeeding is OK- bit sore & sensitive but mum and bub are doing well!
Good Luck to the rest of you ladies still waiting. Although it hurts; it is SO very worth it!
Love him to bits!
