Our pediatrician gave the OK to start my DD on whole milk. He asked me to NOT put it in a bottle and serve from a sippy cup exclusively and keep it cold so we don't run into her only wanting warm milk down the road. Anyways, she barely drinks the milk out of her sippy. This isn't going to work for us so I did some research online & read you can start by slowly mixing the formula & whole milk together and within a week she could be familiar with the taste of whole milk. Also, I read that you shouldn't begin this with the first or last bottle of the day.
Now my question is should I begin doing this in her sippy cup & not the bottle? She only gets 3 bottles a day so I was thinking about giving her formula in a bottle in the AM & PM then introducing the milk mixed with formula in a sippy cup in the afternoon. This way I can begin weaning her off the bottle as well.
Do any of you think that I'll have issues giving her it in a sippy cup only for one feeding for now? I don't want to have to start all over with introducing the milk again for her day and night bottle as well.
Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions are greatly welcomed :)
My DD gets so anxious she whines and opens her mouth as soon as she sees her bottle. Its pretty funny we joke that she's addicted haha. But then I wonder if she's really that hungry. I just dropped one of her afternoon bottles so she's down to 3 8oz bottles a day. She doesn't show any hunger signs but goes crazy when she sees the bottle! She's a great eater so I hope she's not really that hungry. Anybody else's LO go crazy for their bottles?!
My daughter will cry every time I put her down. She is extremely attached to me. She wont even let her own father hold her without screaming her brains out. And this girl can scream lol literally she will turn bright red and hold her breath. I of course feel inclined to pick her up and comfort her even though it really puts a damper on my time limit in the morning. My bf insists that there is nothing wrong with her. I know she is teething as well which doesn't help the situation. She also has been waking up in her crib every morning at 5:30 and is crying. Usually she is up at 6-6:30 and is a happy baby. I've been taking her into bed with me in the morning for an extra hr just so we both can get some more sleep.
Anyways my question here really is Do you think this is separation anxiety? My bf insists that she is this way because I nurture her too much & take her into bed with me in the morning. She is only happy with me at home but I drop her off to her grandmas every day and she seems fine there. Ah I just wish I knew what was going on with my girl.
Were going to be road tripping it to Florida in August so we can bring our Lab on vacation with us without having to fly him. We will be leaving from NJ in the middle of the night stopping in Raleigh, NC for breakfast and making a detour to Greenville, SC to spend the day and night. We will be staying in a hotel in Greenville but leaving in the middle of the night again for Florida. We are visiting my grandparents, it will be their first time meeting their first great-granddaughter :) So I need suggestions on what to bring for traveling (on hand items), beach necessities (I wad thinking maybe purchasing a baby tent), and what should I do with her bottles? I'm still sterilizing them I was thinking of washing them in the hotel bathroom but I don't know if that seems to gross lol and I'm not sure if the sterilizer will fit I may purchase the baggy sterilizers for the trip. Any suggestions on any other things you feel are important to bring are def welcome :)
Its about that time to switch my DD into a convertible car seat. I wanted to get a Britax but I read a review online how the company uses chemicals that can cause a number of problems like cancer, reproductive problems, liver problems etc. I googled it and sure enough it seems to be true. I found a website that picked the top convertible car seats but didn't list Britax. Now I'm super confused on what to do :/
For those who are making their own baby food, how does your LO do with meats? My daughter ended up gagging and vomiting everywhere. We realized it was too thick so we watered it down yet she still puked. What are you guys going to get a smooth consistency. I feel like she should be able to hand more textured foods by this point. Any suggestions?

If you skipped a "dream feed" when weaning off the bottle did you continue the next night where you left off or did you start all over again?
Also, did any of your babies still wake up looking for a bottle even though they were completely weaned?
If I don't dream feed my DD she still wakes up for a bottle. I don't feed her but she keeps me up for almost an hour and then I skip the dream feed cause I'm so tired lol. I'm afraid this is going to be habit forming.
Her naps are doing much better but she still is sleeping the same amount at night 8:30-6:30. I'm going to try to put her down at 7:30 tonight and see how she does but no matter what time she goes down it's always awake at 6-6:30. Anyone else's like this?
