Had my daughter St Patties Day. Last night I started to get pain in my calf. Its still here today so had to go in to get checked for a clot. Scared and nervous :( hoping and praying for good news.

Is my 6 day old sick?!?

His poop is orange and he's throwing up. not every feeding and one time it was after I gave him his D vitamin because im breast feeding. His burps started to smell yesterday too. Is this normal or is he sick or is he not tolerating the vitamin?? I have to wait until the morning to ask a doctor

Breastfed babies should have orange/yellow poops that are runny and seedy. If baby is gassy these poops can kind of shoot out like diarhea but it isn't. Diarhea in breast fed babies is green and foul smelling. I breast feed exclusively and to keep my daughter from puking it up I drip it on my nipple just before she latches onto the breast. My daughter sicks up sometimes but she also vomits ocassionally (a large amount that shoots out) this can be caused by several things according to my doctor; such as hyperactive letdown (milk comes out too fast), clogged ducts (the blockage tastes bad), over eating (too full), stimulation of the gag reflex by choking on sick up or a dummy/sucky, or too vigorous rocking/patting directly after a feeding while soothing or burping(motion sickness). I was worried about the same thing but my doctor told me as long as baby doesn't have a fever and continues to grow and thrive occasional vomitting is normal. 10 days over! Induced!

Well today I am 10 days overdue! I've had not one sign that this boy is coming!
In 1 hour I will be finding out which day I will be getting induced! Although i am disappointed that I don't get to do this without that extra 'help' i am still so excited!

If anyone has any positive stories on being induced please let us know!

Pacifier?

I am breast feeding exclusively and I don't want my daughter to get nipple confusion. I was just wondering how long I should wait to introduce the pacifier? How old was your lo before you gave them a pacifier?

Thanks so much ladies. I tried one yesterday and its worked wonders. My nipples were really sore being a human pacifier and now she settles to sleep with the nuk pacifier. I tried different brands but nuk is the only one she'll take. :)

I'm one day PP and it feels very weird to stand straight almost like it hard to breath even though it isn't, has anyone experienced this???

I actually asked my dr about this at my pp appointment. He said that your body produces a hormone which makes your joints loosen and stretch in order to permit them to move out of place when you give birth and that the strange fluidy/unsupported feelig will pass when your hormones regulate over the next week or too. Be especially careful not to strain yourself until things stabilize :) Good luck!

So tired!

Tonight I fell asleep on the couch and had to wake up to feed lo about an hr later and my so was talking to me and I couldn't stay awake. When we went upstairs I was so tired I put toothpaste on his toothbrush and i think i fell asleep peeing for a few min too. lol. Anyone else been so exhausted?

I'm 3 days pp and I keep falling asleep breast feeding, the hormones make me exhausted. I can't sleep whenever baby sleeps because this baby was born 5 days before the birthday of my three year old (4 on the 7th) and we're tryong to make sure everything transitions well. I can't ever rrmrmber being so tired.

I mostly lurk but I have to vent. My daughter who is 10 is the lead in the school play. We are all so so so excited for her and can't wait to see her in it. I'm so afraid that I will go into labor and will miss it. I would be devastated ðŸ˜¢
I have been having contractions on an off this past week and lost my plug a couple days ago. Still working overnights with a lot of being on my feet and today my cat who doesn't normally, has been jumping up on the couch and laying on me. I really need to either have this baby right this minute or not till after the play :(
