Wow is the best I can sum it up as. It's still going on after over 2 hours. The company is sneaky and provides NO guarantees to the community what so ever. Quick run down...it's a 4 bedroom 3 bath home with an inground pool with a two car garage...total family home in a tight close bit family neighborhood. So, they bought the house for their sole purpose to house mentally disabled adults with physical and behavioral disabilities. Every house that abuts it has 3+ children living in each home. The company never solicited the neighbors to introduce themselves and their intentions nor did they inform our town hall and officials. They bought the house under an exemption law saying they're educators. They told us its presumably for 4-6 elderly (age 50+) women that are mentally ill. Ok. Staffed by at least 5-6 ppl during day and afternoon shifts and more over night. That posed a traffic/parking issue. They said they're are adding driveways. Omg. It's a pretty house with great landscaping and now they are planning on paving it over for a multitude of cars. One of my questions was after these round of women are gone who comes in next? Oh?!? They don't know nor can they guarantee it won't be a sex offender or a person with a criminal background that their psychiatrist board deems to be safe to go in society again. Ugh. My head is literally throbbing. There was so much discussed. Our own mayor is dead set against this as well.....there were so many gripes and concerns and arguments....I need a stuff drink

My mil gave ds a sippee cup at her house without telling me or asking first. She kept him for two days while i was working and I am thankful however he doesn't want to nurse anymore. I have slow flow bottles for him which I have her plenty of to use and she happen to say "oh he loves his sippee cup." I'm like what cup? Oh this is why he won't nurse now. Why does she do stuff like this. Then when I tell her we aren't giving him a cup yet she gets upset and brings up that she raised 3 kids. I need help.

I came across some site on line regarding this 'debate'....I really have no preference either way but some of the 'pros' of cloth diapering were so absurd.
First off was the cost. I'm sorry but from what I have been seeing and reading, cloth diapers are. Ot necessarily.cheaper when all is said and done. There's so many pieces to them to buy which seems to be a never ending task. And you have to clean the

I personally use pampers cruisers size 3. I spend about $40 a month at best....2 packages at Walmart $19 a piece does the trick.

Then it said that babies can suffocate on disposable diapers because they can take them off to play with. Umm, hello? I've 3 kids of my own, many many nieces and nephews and oodles of friends with kids. Never once have I ever ever ever heard of this.
I can understand the 'chemical' debate. However, if cloth was entirely the better way to go ESP financially, why aren't they used in hospitals or on government programs such as WIC...WIC provides breasts pumps because the advocate breast is best....hmmmmm something that crossed my mind.

tried giving Eric peas today.... his first solid besides rice and barley cereal. he hates it!! made the most awful face abd refused to eat it. im going to try again tomorrow but im so sad i thought he would gobble it right up. he loves the cereal and is a great eater with that!

Aww! So my best best friend of 10 years just called me and is coming over for support at 1 am because she just found out that the man she has been dating for almost 2 years is her biological brother! She's adopted and met this guy in a club in bigger city a few towns over. I always thought they looked similar and joked they could be brother and sister with both of them about it, but to find out it's true is frigging shocking!
They were laying in bed watching tv and he brought up if she ever wanted to find her birth mother and they got to talking and their moms name came up and from there everything gets bad she said. His mom which is her mom passed away about 5 years ago she just found out. I think she's just going to stay with me for a few days while she figures out what the hell to do! Where is Dr. Phil when we need him!

For me, it's watching my DS and DD forming the most amazing relationship! She can be screaming the house down and the instant she sees him she is all smiles. Being 8 this is wonderful for DS sense of place and connectedness :)
