Let's discuss the things they don't tell you in books about being a first time mom. Experienced moms please weigh in. I'll do my best to remember how awkward and terrifying those first weeks are.
THINGS NOBODY TELLS YOU
1) You will become a poop expert!
2) Your baby WILL have a blowout, most likely in public, so bring extra clothes or a blanket. You can torture your child with the story when they are a teenager.
I will add more as I remember them. Please feel free to add your own.

It's my new favorite past time! I just got a Moby wrap and it's sooooooooooo wonderful to be hands free and actually be able to do dishes while dh is at work or to type with both hands! Woohooo! I just hope dd continues to like it as much as I do!

Ugh! I went shopping this weekend. Friday I just got shirts so I didnt try those on. But today I went to Marshall's and tried on some dresses and blah! I wasnt feeling myself at all :(. Before I got preggo, I modeled (locally) and loved my body. But now not so much. Ive lost 40 lbs so far and still dont feel confident like I want. I want my sexy back! The end. Lol!

A little boy is in need of Prayer. He is only 18 months old. Patrick has been battling cancer for quite sometime now. He developed a GI bleed and an infection in his stomach and bowels a couple weeks ago. The doctors feel there is nothing left they can do for him until the bleeding is stopped. At 2pm central time they are taking him off the vent and keeping him comfortable. His mommy and daddy are praying for a miracle and will not give up on their baby boy. Their faith has spoke volumes to our community. I believe we have a God who can heal him if it is in His will. He is a miracle worker!!! So I'm asking you all to say a prayer for this little bundle of joy. I cannot fathom going through this. It breaks my heart! Please join me in prayer. Stand in agreement for the healing of Patrick!! Our God can!! Thank you so much

This morning after I skipped a change, I found blood in Mavs diaper at his circumcision. There was no obvious abrasion, it was just a little red from irritation. Last night I skipped a diaper change and he sleeps on his stomach, (for nearly 12 hours) could this have caused this? Or should I be concerned?

How do you get ready in the morning, and when? I like to sleep in as much as I can with baby so I don't take a shower very early. Then when she wakes up I'm so busy with her I can't take a shower- so I'm usually without a shower until the afternoon! Which is so not fun. Here I sit rocking a fussy baby, unshowered, at 11:50 am. What do you ladies do?
