im a ftm. and i am going to breast feed but im really stuck on if i want a manual or electric breast pump. And if i wanna get a single or double.
i dont want to pay more than $100 but if i absolutely have to i will.
but anyone know any brands?
and did you prefer electric or manual?
and single or double??

For a child who refused to nurse for the first 7weeks of her life, boy does she like to now!
I let her nurse on demand, as she is only in the 4% and she will for an hour every time if not longer! But now, every time I hold her, the second she smells me, she starts rooting! She will be completely full but yet still root like crazy! She will even latch onto my collar bone!
Should I let her keep nursing when she does this?
I love it, but goodness gracious child! I am more than a teether! Lol. She's almost 13 weeks.

I stopped pumping because I was only getting drips a couple of days ago. I was giving her every drip I could get out plus supplementing with enfamil.
I called one of my good friends and she said to try exclusively breastfeeding my LO and count her diapers.
I feel like crying, my LO has only wet once since I started EBF 10 pm last night and it's now the next day 2:30pm est. her face is all red from crying all night and day and her voice is so horse. I'm trying to stick to it cause she latch so good but she gets fussy and disappointed when the milk barely comes out. We have kept the whole house awake.
Q: should I just give her a bottle, because of the one wet diaper in over 16 hrs?

He's 5 weeks and I'm not sure why his face breaks out.. What can I use to help it clear up?

I'm wondering If it's normal how my 8 wk old daughter breathes when she sleeps, she'll breathe three deep breaths and then pause for like 5-6 secs with no breaths then breathe another 3 and pause again and so on and so on. Is this normal? I'm afraid it may be a form of sleep apnea :(

so I had like 2beers and don't know if I should just wait 2hours to breast feed or pump and dump. my baby is 22days old.

so yesterday was his first day of having 4 oz formula mixed with 2 oz milk. he had it in the am, noonish, and before bed, well he was fine all day with me until i left for work and he was with his dad from 430-830 and he was going nuts the whole time! just throwing fits, crying, didnt want to be held nor be put down. i got home and he was fine, but during the night he woke up 3 times and he wouldnt go down without a fight! after the thrid time of waking up and me trying to put him to sleep i finally just let him play, fed him breakfast, most of the time he was just being cranky and fussy! idk what it is. he pooped twice during the night, he didnt seem to have a lot of gas, no diarreha, idk if its teething, or the milk! any help please! i do not want to keep going through this. i felt bad bc i didnt know what to do!!

Don't ever feel guilty if you are incapable of breastfeeding your child. You do what is best for you both.
Don't let Doctors or midwives make you feel guilty if you find breastfeeding too hard and need to supplement with formula.
Don't feel like a failure if your body is incapable of feeding your child. Formula has come so far!
Remember to cut yourself some slack and let yourself grieve if you aren't able to do the things you wanted.
Being a mummy is tough! especially when things don't go to plan.

anyone know if it's ok to eat pumpkin seeds while nursing...if it increases or decreases milk production? TIA :)

It makes me very sad that I am having to do this but when I return to work the only shift they have available to me is 16-17 hour shifts including over nights 3 days a week. I do not produce anyway near enough milk to feed her that long while I am working and I have to do this to provide for my family. My question is how did everyone go about switching to formula?
