jaundice in newborn...

hey mommies I had my baby boy on 16th may and he has jaundice.... did any of your babies had it and then it went down....I am so stressed out coz of this...

Do not let these women tell you it's no big deal!!!<br /><br />Why is it dangerous to leave jaundice untreated?<br /> <br />While most jaundice in newborns is harmless, an inappropriately high level of bilirubin affects the brain temporarily. Left untreated, a sustained level of high bilirubin can cause permanent brain damage, deafness, seizures, and an unusual form of cerebral palsy. This type of permanent brain damage is called kernicterus.

Little One's On Her Way!

Last night my contractions started and although I could sleep through them at first, around two in the morning I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep. They've gotten a lot closer together and they're more painful. They range from 3-5 minutes, so now I'm about to head to l&d so they can check me out. I'm trying for all natural, but I'm still open to epi. Here I go! Wish me luck! (Will try to get on this at the hospital)

Omg...please stop it, I'm almost vomiting scrolling down the page, just google mucus plug/bloody show or explain your symptoms. I really don't wanna see it and I can't avoid it either cz it's right there!

Y'all are gonna be in for a big surprise when babies come... They have some pretty gross tendencies... And it only gets worse lol... You'll be ok I promise

Did any of you have any signs that lead up to your labor? Obviously waters breaking, but anything out of the ordinary?

Update cashby? Just read through this thread... I'm due may 30th and have been having random contractions... Some days more than others but I'm getting so anxious! :)

They were random like that until about midnight... Then they stopped... :/

Period cramps and feel weak/nauseous?

I'm having period cramps but they aren't accompanied by tightening or anything... And I'm feeling really weak... I feel hungry even though I just ate but nothing is appetizing ...

Anyone feeling like this? Or did before labor? I'm 37 weeks
