The first time I pumped with a manual I only got about 1/2 oz each size. got a medala double electric and pumped 1 oz each side. after A week of pumping 4-5 times a day for 10-15 minutes, I get 3-7oz a side. This give me enough to freeze a little tor the future and exclusively feed my ds breastmilk. after a few weeks I started breadtfeeding my son directly and still pump sometime to. I love the bonding with ds and also the freedom to know I can pump and leave healthy breastmilk for someone else and go have some much deserved time by myself. I intended to formula feed also but when my boobs started leaking I realized that I was meant to bf and am enjoying it as well as the extra money I am saving by not buying formula. it took 7 weeks but what I saved in formula cost paid for my double electric pump.
