Welcome to General Pregnancy!
This discussion group is a general meeting place for all pregnancy related topics.

Group Activity
We are excited to have the ability to share photos with one another and enjoy seeing the progress of each other’s pregnancies. With that in mind, we do have to remember we are posting sensitive information about our expanding families on the internet.
As a precaution, the moderators at BabyBump are asking for you to remove or blot out your personal information on your sonogram photos before you upload them. Some sonograms print more information than others, but please remove anything that has your name, date of birth, medical record number and hospital/clinic. It is fine to leave any measurements, week/day indicators, gender notations, etc.
Simply open your photo in the photo-editing program of your choice and black out the information or crop the photo to show only the sonogram before uploading. If your sonogram photo is currently posted with this information, you can remove it yourself and repost it yourself once it’s been edited. If we remove the photo, know that you are welcome to repost it once it has been edited. We see this as another measure to keep our members safe and appreciate your understanding.

Hello,
If you are reading this post, you may be wondering if you are pregnant. There is no way for this group to answer that question for you.
The only ways for you to have that question answered accurately are to take either a home pregnancy test or a test at your doctor's office, or to wait 9 months and see if you give birth.
If you have not yet taken a pregnancy test, that should be your first step before posting to this forum. Home pregnancy tests can be purchased at discount stores, grocery stores, dollar stores, pharmacies, etc. You do not usually need a prescription or parent permission to buy them. They are usually not kept locked up, so you will not need to ask a stock person for help, although this policy can differ from town to town and store to store. They can usually be found in the feminine products area of the store.
Home pregnancy tests all rely on the same chemical test to produce results. The difference in price comes from the marketing, packaging, and amount of complicated technology to display the results. A low-cost test will produce the same accurate result of a high-cost test.
If you are posting to this forum with pregnancy symptom questions because of fantasy or wishful thinking, please be aware that you are trivializing the women who are members of this forum who are currently pregnant and going through a very serious stage of their lives.
If you would like to know more about your pregnancy, you might like our sister app, BabyBump. BabyBump is available in both free and pro versions and has forums for specific stages of pregnancy, as well as special interest groups.
Once again - no one can tell over a forum community if you are pregnant or not. If you have this question, please take real world steps to find out the answer before joining this group.
Thank you for reading this very long message :)
Best wishes,
Zella

Some long-time members of this forum have asked if they can flag "Am I Pregnant" posts. The answer is no, as posting this question is within the Terms of Use.
It may see silly to you that someone is asking this question on a forum, but that doesn't mean that the question is out-of-line or unacceptable. I am sure we have all had moments in our past where we didn't know what was happening or going to happen, and talking or thinking over the possibilities was the first step we took before learning what path the future was going to take.
If you see a post you don't like but does not break one of the clauses of the Terms of Use, you can choose to either helpfully answer the question, ignore the post, or make use of the Ignore User feature. More information about "Ignore User" feature can be found in the Announcements forum.
Thank you for doing your part to make this forum a great place to be.

Hi there,
We've just got our BFP making me 5 weeks tomorrow. It's my first pregnancy. We conceived on our first month of trying, have been taking all the right prenatals, eating healthy etc, no caffeine etc but I am terrified that our baby won't have a heartbeat or I will have a m/c. I do have a problem with anxiety and really don't think I can wait until 11-12 weeks for my first scan. Would anyone recommend the private early ones from 7 weeks? Just to ease my mind a little?
Any advice would be gratefully received!
A scared & hopeful Amy xxx

I HATE Baby kicks in my bladder!!!!! I know people are gonna say "oh hush and be happy your even pregnant" Well truth is if I had the option to pay someone to carry my baby or do it myself, I would definitely NOT chose to be pregnant. Gavin doesn't ever do the cute little wiggle or kick or nudge anywhere I can feel or see. He just does this kung fu super kick straight onto my bladder. Or my cervix. Im pretty sure its my cervix that he's kicking because when he does it I swear his foot goes through even though I know it doesn't. it just really feels like it and it is THE most uncomfortable bothersome frustrating feeling I have EVER felt. Id rather be days from delivery and feel incredibly uncomfortable than be 21 weeks and have feet stamping on my bladder or cervix.
Im sorry but I really needed to rant.

Does every pregnant female get this? When in the pregnancy does this usually happen? I'm 20 weeks and have not gotten it. Is that normal? Lol sorry in advance if this is a stupid question.
