Maternity hunting clothes!!

Ok so it's hunting season! I love hunting with my family and my husband, but the only problem is that there are no such things as maternity hunting clothes! I no a Bella band would do the trick but it really bothers me that I have to buy huge stuff that is baggy every where but my belly.... Ugh I no alot of women don't hunt but any body have any ideas!?

Did you look online? Or if you can maneuver a sewing machine, goto a fabric store and find a pattern you like. They have some VERY quick and easy patterns too. Then you can pick whatever you like!

You could always make your own. There's a youtube video on how to make your own maternity pants out of regular pants. I've never done it but I've heard it works!!

This post made me sad. :( Hubby doesn't want me to go this year. I guess 34 weeks is too far along to hike through the woods.
I bought bigger sizes in hopes of going this year. The YouTube how to video sounds like a good idea.

I feel your pain :( my hunting shirts all fit, but my pants were a no go :( I will just have to go get a larger size. it's a good investment since this is our first and I don't know how many more hunting seasons I will be pregnant! Lol

I hunt :) so far all I've found is just buy them a bigger size or wear some of my hubby's even though they'll be a bit big. Course idk what I'm going to do next hunting season, if I buy them a bigger size. lol. If you hear of any better solutions let me know :)

Does it really make a difference if your wearing hunting clothes or just normal clothes? I'm just curious, I know nothing about hunting but would love to try some venison!

Beetle - depends what you hunt.. turkey or bow hunting you wear camo so if you have brown pants and a top thats fine but gun season for deer you wear orange and its cold where I am from so you need a jacket which can get pricey.

Yes it makes a difference, most large game animals see in black and white, with uv blue and yellow thrown in, so if you are wearing regular clothes while up in a tree, you will look like one big dark blob to them. Camo breaks up your outline, it makes you blend in against the backdrop of leaves, sticks and bark.

Turkeys can see color, so when turkey hunting you have to be completely covered. Facemask, gloves, everything! I've had turkeys run away because they saw the bright colored fletch on my arrows.

Google maternity camo overalls :) wear a "real tree" mock turtle neck under them and a kinda big coat. Cool thing about regular camo overalls, you can un button the sides and loosen the shoulder straps for a good fit with only extra belly.

Walmart and Academy makes their women's hunting clothes a little bigger. I got all smalls and I have room to grow. I definitely won't be rockin' my SHE camo. I refuse to ruin those with my bump.

Thank all of y'all for the help! I think I'm going to look in to maybe making some and even selling them... I no buying bigger sizes work but they just don't fit the same and I'm all about comfort!! Especially if I'm climbing some where!
