Mustache Fad?!?

Can someone please explain to me why everyone has this obsession with mustaches? I've seen mustache shirts, coffee mugs, necklaces, ect. Where did this fad come from?

It all started with hipsters..... Young rich young adults mostly in Williamsburg but you can find them in any big city. They dress homeless and are so convinced its cool other people believe it too. Thats why you see thick frame glasses and fabric prints with bicycles on it. Suspenders, leggings, etc they took ugly stuff and made it "cool".

Ill stuck with lily pulitzer and ralph lauren tho.

My daddy has had a mustache for as long as I can remember. I would probably freak out if he shaved it. I've never actually seen his top lip before!

It started as 'Movember' actually, to raise money for cancer. Now it's a fad, and an annoying one at that.

I should add that men grow mustaches for the month of November. It has been going on for a few years now. Mostly I wanted to clarify that the ever so original hipsters did NOT start the fad. Again, they have taken something that already exists and acted like they came up with the most wonderful thing on the planet. Something that has been around since the beginning of time. Gah, hipsters really annoy me.

@yaya -thats ok, those trends started with hipsters but are all mainstream now.

And no hipsters didn't invent the mustache but they brought it back.

I've never heard of any of this, lmao.

I've heard of "No shave November" where you don't shave for the entire month of November.
