We developed this community to encourage and support our users at all stages of their pregnancy journey. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO USE THIS SITE OR HAVE YOUR PARENT'S OR LEGAL GUARDIAN’S CONSENT IF YOU'RE 13 TO 17 YEARS OF AGE. We encourage you to participate and share your experiences with others. Please keep in mind that the spirit of this community is designed to be a safe, respectful and open place of expression where all of our users can share experiences, concerns and ideas. For that reason, we’ve established a few simple guidelines and rules that we ask all our users to follow. Please take a moment to read them below.
Safety and Guidelines
Please keep in mind that all of the content in this community area is generated from other BabyBump members. Because our community is so large, BabyBump (Alt12 Apps) does not monitor every post or verify the information posted by our members. We rely on our users to inform us any violations. The comments, opinions, and statements posted in our community don’t necessarily reflect the view of Alt12 Apps. The content posted by our members is the sole responsibility of the person who created the post, it is not meant to be a substitute for medical advice. The Basic Rules of Conduct
BabyBump welcomes the fact that our users are diverse and hold differences in philosophies, beliefs, opinions, and parenting styles. In order to keep this community supportive and welcoming we’ve established a few simple rules.
1. Age & Account Requirements: You must be 18 years of age or older to use the site or if you are between the ages of 13 and 17 you must have your parent's or legal guardian’s permission. You accept full responsibility for any unauthorized use of the Service by minors.
You shall not have more than one Account, per platform or SNS, at any given time, and shall not create an account using a false identity or information, or on behalf of someone other than yourself.
2. No Personal attacks: You may not threaten abuse or slander another person or entity, including members of the community, staff, volunteers, or public or private persons.
Personal attacks are postings, comments, or other content that insult, demean, embarrass or humiliate another member of our community or group of members of our community based upon her or their character, decisions, personal choices or beliefs. One personal attack does not warrant the right to retaliate with another personal attack.
Examples of Personal Attacks:
Personal attack: The members of the Breastfeeding group are obsessive hippies.
Not a personal attack: I was reading a post in the Breastfeeding group and I don’t understand the adamancy to exclusively breastfeed.
Personal attack: Teenage moms are irresponsible and should keep their legs shut.
Not a personal attack: Teens in general may not have the emotional maturity to understand the possible long-term consequences of being sexually active. I don’t think they should have sex.
Personal attack: Did you see what “member name†posted! I can’t believe how stupid she is. Don’t you think she’s insane?
Not a personal attack: Recently a woman I saw did something that I thought was foolish. I felt completely shocked. What is your reaction?
Personal attack: Pro-life women are religious freaks pressing their opinions on everyone.
Not a personal attack: I sometimes feel that someone who is pro-life and anti-abortion comes across as pressing her religious point of view on me rather aggressively.
Personal attack: If you get an abortion you’re a murderer and God will punish you for your sin.
Not a personal attack: Due to my personal religious beliefs I do not feel abortion is right. I feel you should consider other options like adoption or talk to a professional counselor.
Personal attack: I can’t stand the people on here who don’t know how to spell. Are they really that stupid? Is it that hard to spell correctly?
Not a personal attack: I personally find it difficult to understand people when they often and purposefully misspell words and use texting abbreviations.
Personal attack: I’m not attacking you, I’m just giving you the harsh cold reality and you need to suck it up and stop being a baby.
Not a personal attack: I am direct but I didn’t mean to offend you.
3. Hate Speech of any nature is not allowed.
Hate speech is words or actions which ridicule, degrade, harass, insult or intimidate a person or group of people based upon their race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, class, or mental capacity.
Examples:
Hate speech: Teen moms disgust me with their irresponsible choices and actions.
Not hate speech: I worry about the emotional maturity of teen moms to make the right choices.
Hate speech: Americans are obsessive gun toting crazies.
Not hate speech: Here in the UK, many people have the opinion that Americans are obsessed with carrying guns. Although, I don’t agree with that sentiment, I don’t understand the reasoning behind carrying a gun.
Hate speech: Fat people are that way because they’re just plain lazy and eat junk food all the time.
Not hate speech: I worry about the health and wellness of obese people and wonder if it’s because of their diet choices.
Hate speech: Fags are sinners and are going to hell.
Not hate speech: I cannot support gay people because my religion does not condone homosexuality.
4. No Bullying or Harassing: Bullying is any sort of action(s) that are used to intimidate, humiliate, harass or belittle someone. Posts or threats of this nature will not be tolerated. You may not bully or harass any member of our community or staff.
5. Illegal activity or misrepresentation: No false profiles, illegal acts or discussions of illegal acts are allowed.
6. No pornographic, XXX material or cursing: While we support women being able to discuss details of health-related issues, posts that are explicit, graphic and/or soliciting pornographic conversation will be deleted. Masking by using asterisks or deliberate misspellings is also included in this clause. If you wouldn’t say something to your child, parent, teacher, or boss, then it is also inappropriate for this community.
7. No soliciting or SPAM: You may not sell personal items on this site. You may promote your non-profit organization or cause in the Good Causes group. You may not attempt to collect or harvest information with the intent of soliciting our members. You may not use the Alt12 communication devices for solicitation. You may not crosslink to outside links, forums, applications or websites. Nor may you use this website, forums, or communication devices for advertising purposes.
8. Do not solicit or reveal personal information or private content: Do not share personal information such as your own or someone else’s phone number or email address in posts of any kind. Once you post such information, it's out there and available for anyone to see. While the community is a great place to meet other like-minded members, some people might be pretending to be something other than what they really are or want to be friends with you for the wrong reasons.
Likewise, do not post or publicize private communication between Alt12 Apps Customer Support, members, moderators, community managers, staff members, administrators of the community, other employees, agents or partners of Alt12 Apps in this community or anywhere else. Publicizing any private correspondence such as support tickets, email, Private Message (PM) correspondence, or chat logs thereof is not permitted without prior permission.
9. No disruptive behavior: You may not use the website, community, forums or communication devices for disruptive behavior, including, but not exclusive to: boycotting, petitioning, repeat posts in multiple threads, litigious behavior or reporting, interfering with discussions, flooding, bumping or lobbying.
Zero Tolerance Policy
While we strive to work with each member of our community, we have a zero tolerance policy for the following behaviors:
Slanderous, disrespectful, hostile, threatening, bullying or belligerent remarks to any members of our staff
Spamming our community
False or fake identities
Under the age of 13
Racial slurs, violent threats and excessively aggressive, disruptive and hateful statements or behavior
Members violating these policies may be subject to an immediate ban from our community, with or without notice.
Please Note
Alt12 Apps reserves the right to ban, suspend or revoke membership of any member at any time for any reason, with or without warning. We have no obligation to delete content that you find personally objectionable or offensive. We reserve the right to modify these rules with or without notice at any time.
By participating in our community you are agreeing to abide by the spirit and letter of our guidelines, and to submit to their interpretation and enforcement by our moderators and staff members.
Violations of these rules or our Terms of Use (http://www.alt12.com/tos) may result in your membership being blocked from participating in any or all areas of our community and your membership being closed and/or your content removed from our site.
Have fun and enjoy the BabyBump Community!
Last updated: February 5, 2011
In June, we were happy to announce the introduction of a new feature - "Ignore a User." This gave you control over the material you wanted to read. If someone wasn't your cup of tea, it was a simple process to "ignore" her, and thus never read her posts again.
Based on your feedback, we have enhanced this feature. "Ignore a User" now works similarly to other social networks and is a 2 way block.
If you decide that you are no longer interested in interacting with a member of the Community, the "Ignore a User" feature will now remove her posts from your viewing, remove your own posts from her viewing, and also disallow the user from contacting you via private message.
It is our hope that most of the members of the Baby Bump community can coexist peacefully even when disagreeing. But for when situations warrant, please feel free to make use of the enhanced "Ignore a User" to ensure that you are communicating with the people you want to read your messages, and not those you would really rather not.
Best wishes,
The Baby Bump Team
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To use the feature, you will need to access the website version of the Community. Once you have made the necessary changes on the website, your mobile device view will update and you'll be "ignoring" via mobile, too.
To ignore the user, go to: babybumpapp.com
Go to the user's profile (either by clicking the username on a post or searching the site for the username, then clicking the username on a post the search produces.)
On the left sidebar, over the "My Groups" section, click "Ignore User."
There is brand new updates for the iOS platform for all of the Alt12 Apps.
A few annoying bugs have been fixed and the apps have been updated to look awesome on the iPhone 5!

Kidfolio is a social network and digital scrapbook for parents. It's the simplest way for parents to capture and share their child’s precious first memories. Parents can automatically create a timeline of memories, create and send photo cards from within the app, learn something new each day about their child’s developmental milestones, and get recommendations from a community of parents.
The same username and password currently used for BabyBump and Pink Pad can also be used to access Kidfolio, and many groups are shared between the apps.
We hope that you enjoy Kidfolio as much as we do!
Best wishes,
Zella

iPHONE/iPOD FAQ:
What information is available about my pregnancy and where can I find it?
The main screen of BabyBump is the profile screen. From here, you can tap the Baby, Your Body, Journal, Photos, Kick Counter, or Contractions buttons. The Baby and Your Body screens give detailed daily and week-by-week information about the changes happening to you and your baby. Keep checking back each day and week for more info!
The Profile screen says I am on Week #, Day 7. Shouldn't it advance to the next week?
BabyBump counts days of the week from Day 1 to Day 7. So you will be on Day 7 on the last day of your week and on Day 1 on the first day of the next week. For example, if today is Week 17, Day 7, then tomorrow will be Week 18, Day 1.
How do I change my profile photo?
You can tap the profile photo to change it. You can choose to take a new photo with the camera or choose an existing photo from your library. After you have chosen a photo, the photo will replace the default profile photo and will be saved even after you quit the application. You can change your photo again at any time and can even revert back to the default photo if you don't like the one you have chosen.
How do I keep a photo diary of my pregnancy?
The Photos button on the main BabyBump screen allows you to manage your pregnancy-related photos. Tapping the "+" button in the upper right-corner allows you to add photos from your camera or phone's photo library. When you add a photo, it is tagged with the current date. For example, you may want to add a photo of your belly for each week of your pregnancy so you can see a time-lapsed slideshow of your progress. Tapping on any photo brings you to a large view. In the large view, you can swipe left or right to view the previous/next photo, and you can delete or email a photo.
How do I change the units used for my weight and waist measurements?
When entering a weight or waist measurement in the journal, you can specify the units for that individual measurement. You do not have to use the same measurement unit across days. For example, one day you could use kg and another you could use lb. To set the units used by default, tap the Settings button on the main Profile screen and go the Measurements. Note that these default units will also affect the default units shown in the measurement charts. However, you can change the units shown in the charts in the top right-hand corner of the Charts screen.
Where are the charts?
BabyBump charts your weight and waist measurements over time so you can see how your body has changed. Go to the Journal screen, scroll to the top to the Measurements section if it isn't already visible, and then tap the View Charts button.
How does BabyBump calculate estimated weight on the weight chart?
Estimated weight is based on your Body Mass Index (BMI), which is calculated from your pre-pregnancy weight and height. Note that the estimated weight gain is only an estimate. You should consult with a doctor if you are concerned about changes in your weight during your pregnancy. The BabyBump weight gain estimation is based on information provided by ACOG at the following link: ACOG.
How do I delete a contraction session?
On the Contractions screen, tap the History button in the upper right-hand corner. Here, the history of all contractions appears in the lower-half of the screen. You can swipe left or right on any row to delete the contraction. Note that you cannot delete an active contraction. To delete an active contraction, first stop the contraction, then swipe to delete it on the contraction history screen.
How do I send an email of my Kick Counts or Contraction tracking sessions?
In the lower right-hand corner of the Kick Counter and Contractions screens there is an action button. Tap the button to send an email containing the full history of your kicks or contractions.
I cannot set my due date using LMP and/or my number of weeks always says 41+
In version 1.0 of BabyBump, the LMP method of setting the due date does not work properly. This has been fixed and works in version 1.1 of BabyBump and beyond. Please upgrade to the latest version using App Store on your phone.
Some of my journal Feelings or Notes are not saving
In version 1.0 of BabyBump, a single quote (') in a Feelings or Notes prevented the field from being saved properly. This has been fixed and works in version 1.1 of BabyBump and beyond. Please upgrade to the latest version using App Store on your phone.
What if I'm having twins?
Version 3.1 and greater of BabyBump allows you to specify that you're having twins. From the profile screen, tap on Settings and then Baby and select the number of children. When this is greater than 1, and if you have entered your pre-pregnancy weight and height, then the estimated weight graph will be adjusted to account for the fact that you're having multiples. According to the American Pregnancy Association, women having twins should gain 35 to 45 pounds while women having triplets should gain 50 to 60 pounds.
Note that if you are having a single child, BabyBump will use your baby's gender when adding the baby's name to the profile screen. For example, it will preface your baby's name with "Baby Boy" or "Baby Girl" if there is enough room. However, if you are having multiples, your baby's name will be shown without any preceding text.
Also note that if you are having multiples, the baby comparison information on the weekly baby information screen will not be accurate. There currently is not enough information to give accurate fruit or vegetable comparisons for multiples for each week of pregnancy.
ANDROID DEVICES
I am having problems downloading the app, my credit card was denied, or I have been charged multiple times. How do I fix this?
Alt12 Apps are the developers of BabyBump, but all downloads are handled by Android Market. You can get help with Android Market at the following link: Android Market Help. Charges for apps may happen through your carrier or through Google Checkout. For help with Google Checkout, click here: Google Checkout Help
