For those who have had contractions/Braxton hicks

What do they feel like?

I get achey cramps every once in a while, mostly on my right side. But I think they are round ligament pains. They don't hurt, just uncomfortable sometimes.

My uterus has been tightening at random times during the day. The dr check my cervix and said all is ok. But she also did a vaginal culture just to make sure there isn't a bacterial something going on. She said sometimes that can cause little contractions of the uterus. I don't think anything is going on that is cause to worry, but they just wanted to make sure. She said to drink lots of fluids too.

When I lost a baby they had to induce labor and contractions are a very intense pain. Not like cramping and stretching pains at all in my opinion!

I agree that contractions are like period cramps, unless you are induced. Then it's terrible :( sounds like round ligament pain to me but if concerned ask your doc!

The only contractions I've experienced were when I was induced and they're horrible intense cramps and even though they only last like a minute they're extremely painful. But like I said that was the contractions from being induced

Okay, I just wasn't sure because the only time I've felt contractions was when I went through both my losses. They were horrible excruciating pain. I called the dr and she said my uterus is doing some major stretching at this point and baby is going through a growth spurt so cramping is normal. Also said the extra discharge is normal along with the mild scent.
