Group Activity
I hope this group continues to grow! I know we could all use support from other parents with similar feelings about vaccinations. This could be a great place to express our vaccination views without being persecuted by people who may not share our same views. So spread the word! Let's stick together :)

I have had many different reactions to my decision not to vaccinate my children. My favorite is when someone is totally unaware of the possible ill effects caused by vaccines, and they are clueless as to what is in the vaccinations and then I educate them on what I know about vaccines and they leave the conversation with a curiosity and desire to learn more. As a parent isn't it our job to know exactly what is being put into our children? The system has made us feel like we don't need to question things put forth by the government, that we should trust them and go along with whatever they tell us is good and for our benefit. But do politicians have your best interest in mind or their own? Do billion dollar pharmaceutical companies care more about you or the bottom line? It is alright to question things! Take Rick Perry's state mandated STD vaccine for young people in Texas....As of June 2011 there have been 68 deaths, many cases of GBS and at least an 8% rate of permanent negative side effects. A risk worth taking?!? I think not....
Many people seem to react almost as though my choice offends them. I have even had people yell at me for "putting their child at risk" for not vaccinating my child! Have you ever had any negative experiences like this? Can you tell us what happened and how you handled the situation?
If considering delayed or a no vax route, know you will be questioned. You will be pushed by almost any doctor or medical professional to vaccinate, so you need to be prepared. You need to know your facts and stick to your guns! Be strong and know you are making the safest, best decision for your child and your family and don't feel badly for your choice! This stance is a bold one and you should be proud, I know in my heart my children are better off for my decision....if this isn't how you feel I respect that! I just hope people are able to respect our decision as well, and when they don't I know we will have the strength to hold our ground and keep our heads held high :)
