I have had 2 c-sections (we have a 10 year old & a 4 year old), I am worried now that I have had 2 sections that I am higher risk of complications & end up with c-section anyways. In my area of Oklahoma there is only like 1 dr who does vbacs and I am trying to decide if it is worthing spending a bunch of gas money to try and do vbac. This will be our last baby, I really want to try a natural birth but am wanting to get some input.

Hi everyone. I had an awful emergency section with #1. I'm now 29 weeks pregnant with #2 and would love a VBAC-but have been told ill have to have a section at 39 weeks if baby hasn't safely arrived by then... Aside from sex, curry etc-what works?! Thanks!! X

Just had my 36 week check up. & doc did a cervix checked I'm 1/2 almost a 1cm dilated and 50% effaced really hoping I can go into labor on my own and have this baby boy natural.

I am only 5 weeks along, but wanting to try for VBAC. I'm terrified I can't do it though! I am wondering of any helpful questions to ask my doctor and any helpful websites or books to read!

My doctor told me I'm an excellent candidate for a vbac , and that he will let me try , but only if its before I hit the 40 week mark . At that point he would schedule me to come in for another section . My question is , what if he ends up scheduling me but I just don't show up so that I can try to let my labor begin on its own . I mean I still would have two more weeks to try right ?

Ladies, I have my 3rd csection scheduled in 4 weeks (which is exactly one week before my due date) and am feeling NO peace about this. I of course will be discussing options with my OB at my next appointment, but want to hear some of your thoughts, please. I had C#1 due to baby's heart decelerations during my contractions. I elected C#2 (out of fear, mostly). This time, I fear the csection and am wondering if I should consider trying to deliver. I believe I am still a candidate for this. What would I need to do in order to be prepared? Hubby is supportive of whatever decision I make. Doula? Midwife? No epidural (what instead for pain?)? Do i need to try to labor at home as long as i can or be monitored from the start in the hospital? Really just started considering options other than csection within the last week. Totally overwhelmed. How long (past 'due date') will they let me go before insisting on another csection? I have looked at ICAN info as well as some other research based articles, but am feeling overwhelmed. Any help is so appreciated! 29 months between last csection and #3's due date, FYI.
