Group Activity
Where to start!!! 3 years ago my husband and I started trying to conceive. I had blood work ups done for progesterone, thyroid, HCG, etc. I had an HSG, which was normal and painful! My husband had his sperm tested which were normal! I had an ultra sound to see if I was producing a follicle (egg) and a follow up ultra sound to make sure it ovulated, all normal! I had 4 IUI's (the sperm is injected straight into the uterus when you are ovulating) with 4 negative pregnancy's. I was told that every month I have a 5% chance of getting pregnant on my own. I then was referred to Acupuncture by a friend of mine who went through IVF many years before, I began my own infertility journey. She told me that that was the one thing she didn't try that she wished she would have and proceeded to give me $400.00 so that I would go do this. I went to an acupuncturist who specialized in fertility and stayed with her till she told me it was time to try to do something else. I cont. to see her as I followed up with Infertility Specialists. My husband and I decided to do IVF. Growing my follicles was so exciting, you would go in for an ultra sound rather frequently so the specialists could keep an eye on how many follicles were growing and how big they were getting so they could judge when to retrieve them. They retrieved 12 follicles from me. They fertilized 11. Only 5 kept growing to day 5. We had 3 embryo's transferred to me on day 5. I was so excited but I started spotting and my breasts lost all tenderness. When I went in for the pregnancy blood test, I knew I wasn't pregnant. We still had 2 frozen embryo's to thaw. They both survived the thaw and were transferred to me. I am now 5 weeks pregnant. With breast tenderness and nausea and the whole works. So hang in there gals. "you've gotta keep the faith". as my pharmacist told me and meant so much because him and his wife went through the same thing and she was 4 months pregnant with twins before my second round of IVF. Keep the faith ladies and stay positive!

My husband and I have been TTC for 3 1/2 years. He has been tested. I have had a HSG, blood work, been on Clomid, and done ovulation tests. Everything always comes back good but still no pregnancy. I am really starting to get discouraged. What should be my next step?

Well af arrived a few days ago for me... So now I just scheduled my surgery for July 21st... I'm a little nervous but hopeful that I will get more answers. I am also praying that the tube flush will help me get preggers right away! It is common for women to get pregnant after the HSG because it clears everything out and primes the path for the eggs!!! I hope it works!
I wanna hear everyone's ttc stories and infertility troubles!!! Let's vent and support eachother!!!

To everyone out there. I jsut funushed my 1st cycle of IVF hormones to prepare for retrieval, but I will not proceed to retrieval as I only have one egg. The Dr. will change my protocol and start all over for the next cycle hopefully, the next hormone treatment will yield more eggs..... Good Luck with the HSG!!!

I have been ttc for almost a year now and have been seeing a specialist for at least 6 months now and the next step for me is going to be a d&c/hysteroscapy and then a flush of my tubes! Ugh
