Welcome î—
I have started this group after going through a lot with my 4 month old grace who has reflux and cows milk protein allergy and discovering how tough it is with all the different meds and formulas. This is kind of a support group and to share advice xx
Group Activity
the dr thinks he is lactose intolerant. THINKS...this is a big word...so because she doesnt know..im cutting out all dairy products out of my diet to see if he can tolerate my milk. im so overwhelmed cause looking online and just being confused in general. almost everything has a type of dairy in it..and it says...say can also make babies who are lactose intolerant feel icky too... im very willing to cut out dairy so my mr can breast feed but im so not educated on this subject and feel discouraged!

Hi all
I've not posted in here before, I'm just looking for some help.
Joshua has gavison in his feeds 5 times a day and sits upright after a feed for 20-30 mins. He's still quite sick, not so much as before but still a lot. The doctor just said to keep at it then start weaning him off it...
Am I to expect him to be sick still or should I go back to the doctors?
Thank you

So I saw graces consultant and she said grace is doing really well. We are being sent to see the dietician so that's good. Grace has to stay on all her reflux meds for now until she's a bit older. her eczema is worse due to the hot weather. Iv been told to try her on a cube of cheese at 9 months and see what happens. For now know everything that requires milk is to be mixed with neocate. Feel so relieved. Also grace has put on 1lb this month and is following her growth curve nicely. X

Slept through the night for the first time! 9 straight hours. He's only 7.5 weeks! Started him on a probiotics powder in his bottle three days ago and he's been less gassy, way more comfortable, and doesn't constantly grunt and strain like he is trying to pass a bowel movement anymore!

My babe was started on Wednesday night and he has been a happier eater than I have ever seen in the past month! He has had three 20 minute feedings in the past 8 hours and that is more than he has had in at least the last 2-3 weeks!
Now I am hoping my supply goes up. I am pumping after every feeding. Because he was in pain he didn't eat that well or that long and my breast milk supply decreased. But now maybe he'll help it go back up and I can continue.
If I can't, is there a formula that is recommended for babies with reflux?

So with new people joining the forum, I thought it'd be a good idea if we post a bit about our lo's, it will be easier to help offer support then. There is already alot about my grace on here. But feel free to share your stories. Much love xxx

So has anybody else seen a dietician yet? We had our first appointment today and she was lovely, really helpful and informative. As jess had reacted to bananas she did some extra research to double check and has just rang me back! Apparently we now need to be careful with kiwi, passion fruit, avocado cashew nuts and latex! Apparently they are all part of the same allergy family and some one who reacts to one can react to all but luckily it's not a definite. Weaning is when the real fun begins! X
