Can a baby drop twice?

My doctor told me she has already dropped but I feel like she's extra low today and my thighs hurt and also have period cramps, but no stomach feels like she dropped even lower. 37w.

they drop, then they just lower. you really start feeling it when they're head lowers into your pelvic area.

Previous posters are right, baby drops into different "stations" over time... It goes from -4, -3, -2, -1 to 0 which is engaged and means baby is resting right in the pelvic bones and set to come out, then during delivery it goes 1, 2, 3, 4 as the head moves through the pelvis.. If you are feeling alot of pressure your baby may be engaged and ready to come on out very soon!
