I'm Near ottawa (embrun), first pregnancy, 29y/o with pcos.
I should be 7 weeks but after today's ultrasound with only a gestational sac... Now not sure and scared.
Been TTC for 21 months!
It had been the plan that when my maturnity leave was done that I would go back to my full time work and he would look after the baby 3 days a week when working from home. I should also mention that his parents live 5 minutes away from us and would look after the baby the other 2 week days.
That WAS the plan but now after talking to some moms I am not sure. The view I continue to get is that there is no way he would be able to look after a almost 1 year old and work from home.
So now I am thinking day care and part time hours for him? I am just unsure if we should pay the cost for day care when his parents live so close and have said they would be happy to look after baby.
People are telling me day care is important for social development, so I am unsure of what to do. Bryan, my husband is happy to go down to part time hours, so we only need to figure something out for 3 days of the week.
I hope people are able to comment on polls as well as answer because I don't think this is a simple one or the other answer.
Thanks to anyone for sharing your input
What s better, a mixture of father and grandparents watching the child, a mixture of father and day care watching the child, or a combination of all 3 father, grandparents and day care?
