Need help!

I'm starting to freak out my dd had her 4 month shots two days ago and has had a reaction to it. I took her back to the doc yesterday because her temp kept going up and down and the area the needle went in went red, swollen and hot but was told its all normal and not to worry but today she keeps throwing up and it's a funny color??? I want to take her back in but he made me feel so stupid for taking her in the first place :( any advice would be really appreciated thanks

If your worried take her to hospital.. You should never feel undermined by a dr.. You know when your lo is not well.. Even if its nothing at least you will know for sure

I would just take her back to gp. You will only have to wait hours on end at a hospital. Or ring that hotline number thingy. Last thing you want to do is sit in a hospital and her catch something else. Docs are bad enough.

Thanks ladies I'll Call now and book her in. I'm probably freaking out for no reason but she's never been like this even after her first lot of immunizations :(

She may have picked up a bug and it's not related to the vaccinations. Take her to your dr for a check. Sometimes, as drs, we forget that all this is new to mums so although it seems routine to us it's certainly not for parents. It doesn't mean we think you are overreacting or silly!!!!

I hope your lil one recovers quickly! My lil girl is due hers next week.

Hospitals prioritize babies, so if u go to emergency u won't be waiting long

Yer I'm sure he didn't mean to make me feel like that he is usually very nice but they where so busy yesterday so maybe it was just because of that. I'm just waiting to see him now hopefully nothing is wrong with her. Thanks ladies for your help :)

Doctor isn't to worried he said if she throws up again and it's brown like the first time to take a sample and come straight back. She doesn't have a temperature anymore but she still isn't eating much and is very upset :( Hopefully she feels better after a good sleep.

Sometimes Bubs can actually have the rotavirus symptoms after the vaccination. The brown vomiting might be that. My dd had a reaction after the 4 month which sounds similar to yours. She had the fever for a few days , no vomiting but she had loose poos. She Was ok after a few days. Hope she feels better soon.
