Holy crap - I'm off to hospital!!

Just got a phone call from my ob - I'm off to hospital! Now the nerves are really kicking in. Blood tests show I now have pre eclampsia. I'm only 36w4d so getting a steroid injection tonight for the baby. I'm truly worried it's too early for my little mans arrival. Words of encouragement needed ladies!!! Bonnie & tazz- love you both!!!! Will update soon.....

How exciting! 36 weeks is not too bad, he'll probably spend a couple of weeks in special care but he'll be fine. Good luck lovey xxxx

Hey everything will work out fine! I'm 30 weeks with PE (had since 28 weeks) and I had the steroid injections at 29 weeks.
They gave me comfort as they will speed up the development of bubs lungs :)
I hope all goes well with everything and you're nearly full term, try not to stress over it (so hard I know) as it will just elevate your blood pressure and make the situation worse. Good luck xx

36 weeks is nearly full term. If they do what they did with me you will need two or three steroid injections 24 hours apart so it could be another day or two yet so you will be even closer to the 37 week mark.

I had my bub at 36 wks due to pre e also, she also had IUGR so was only 4 pd 7, but she was perfect. Went to special care but came home with me after 5 nights in hosp, she was bf well and only had very minor complications that were quickly fixed! Good luck.

My babies were born at 35 weeks. Both are just great. We missed out on the steroid shot which would have helped my boy a lot. But he only needed help for a day.

Don't be worried hun!! I was born at 26 weeks due to my Mam having pre-eclampsia and after a couple of weeks in the NIC-U was sent home and that was 25 years ago so I'm sure they have made some super advancements since then!!
Good luck to you! x x
