Let's discuss the things they don't tell you in books about being a first time mom. Experienced moms please weigh in. I'll do my best to remember how awkward and terrifying those first weeks are.
THINGS NOBODY TELLS YOU
1) You will become a poop expert!
2) Your baby WILL have a blowout, most likely in public, so bring extra clothes or a blanket. You can torture your child with the story when they are a teenager.

My lo has been drooling and chewing on her hands for about two months now and then today she has diarrhea is that a sign she might be getting her teeth in soon? And if so how long do u think it will take til the first cuts through ?

My lo is verrrrry gassy.. We use the platex ventaire right now...
They seem to help some, but I was wondering if anyone else found a better bottle to help with gas?

My son has a horrible blistering yeast infection on his neck, armpits, behind ears, behind knee caps, in the creases on his arms and legs, and the tops of his thighs :( it pusses and bleeds and looks incredibly raw and painful. I bathe him twice a day, clean his neck after every feeding, put doctor prescribed ointments and powders on all the infected areas at every diaper change... I'm going insane trying to get it under control! After 24 hours it was practically gone, but then it came back worse than ever. Please someone give me some advice? He's in pain :( the pediatrician said it should have been gone by now with the prescriptions and just to stick with it... I'm sure because she doesn't know what else to prescribe. It's been 2 weeks though :(

so my daughter isn't even a week old an her umbilical cord fell off today. my babys got a belly button now :D lol
