Hello ladies so I am 22 weeks pregnant . I had some tummy issues last year but they kind of went away. Well I have recently not been able to eat nuts or peanut butter what so ever and been have some bowel issues and this pregnancy has just been way worse than my first one and my dad has cd and I had a blood test done and my dr referred me to the gastro dr bc one test was positive and she said it was for organisms mainly found in cd patients. I'm 23 years old kind of nervous and scared . I think the symptoms I'm having are just making this pregnancy terrible and I have an appt on Tuesday I'm not sure there much more testing they can do bc I am pregnant. I just really need support .. My dad isn't too opened on talking about his cd. I'm scared and just reading about it and reading that I can't eat a lot of thing that are usually in my everyday diet. Can cd affect your pregnancy or delivery?
So I'm 22 weeks tomorrow. Today I am having a lot of back pain (which before I was prego would usually be due to flaring) now, it seems to happen when I need to, go #2. Is it possible to be flaring yet constipated? All day I have had back pain but not really able to have a BM. I took a bath this evening and tried after I was done and just got a couple "rabbit turds" that were a little mucousy and red... Sorry I know this is TMI but if you have UC or chrohns you are probably used to tmi... Also I have been very crampy all evening.
Anyone have any advice for relief of my cramping and back pain?
ok so iam about 5 weeks, i have uc and currently take 3 lialda daily, i have noticed today and some monday blood , and of coarse my belly is bloated and hurting but i figured from pregnancy, iam so scared ive 2 mmc already, does anyone know what dr might do and can this cause a mc
Hi all, anyone have increasing uc/crohn's symptoms toward the end of first trimester beginning of 2nd? Just noticing a bit more now at 14 weeks and wondering if its due to changes in hormones?
So I've had Crohn's disease for a couple years, had a bowel resection, obstructions and a fistula that won't quit. I'm about 7 weeks pregnant and on no medication at all as instructed by my doctor. But I'm having pretty bad pain on my right side where my fistula usually acts up. I guess I'm asking if there's any point in going to the ER since they can't do cat scans or X-rays? Also, do I call my ob or my GI and tell them about the pain? I was hoping my crohns would go into remission while being pregnant. :/
Hi everyone, I've created an open group on Facebook, is called Ulcerative Colitis, Crohns- Natural Cures. I'd like everyone to share their way to remain in remission with diet and supplements. everyone is welcome to join!
I just got home with some awesome news; my baby is doing amazing AND I've actually gained some weight (7 lbs). During my second month I had the worst cd flare up ever, my dr tried several different medications but everything made it worse. I ended up losing 20pounds. Although my dr doesn't suspect I'll get much past my prepregnancy weight, at least I've gained a little..7lbs at 22weeks :) yay!!!
I had a good thing and wanted to share :) I hope you ladies get some relief from these problems, I know how hard it can be.
Hi, all! I was wondering how many of you had natural/vaginal childbirth with CD? I have a feeling my OB is going to force a c-section and I really would like to have the experience without a knife and without a hospital.
