Hi, I'd like to know how many of us are over 45 and currently expecting? And also whether it was natural or IVF? How are you doing? I'd love to know I have company.
I am 34, turning 35 in the fall and pregnant with my second (or fourth depending on how you look at it). My first is 19 months old and I have two Stepkids aged 10 and 7 that live with us full time. My husband is in his 40's and so this group feels like a better fit for me. Hoping we can join you all. Oh! I am due January 27, 2014!
Hey mommas to be what a horrible night I had last night. Ended up going to the ER at 11:30. I started getting severe cramps on my left side and my low back and around my hip. The pain got really intense and made me so nauseous I would want to throw up but couldn't. I went to the bathroom to make sure i wasn't bleeding which I wasn't. I wasn't sure if it was a normal pain. I was also worried about the pregnancy being ectopic because my pain was on the left side only in the front and the low back. We were in the ER until 3:30 am! It hurt so much that it didn't phase me when they pricked me with an IV (I tend to pass out when i get blood work. Yeah i know I'm in for a fun ride lol). So they did blood work urine test pelvic exam and a vaginal ultrasound. The ultrasound showed nothing which they told me could happen since I'm only about 6 weeks. They said that could be a possibility because its still early. But they also didn't see signs of an ectopic pregnancy but again it's so small they said it wouldn't necessarily show up. They also said my potassium levels were low. My pelvic exam showed that everything was as it should be. So I have to go to the dr tomorrow for them to check my levels again and monitor me. Anyways by the time we got home the pain had subsided. I was so exhausted finally fell asleep (although I took naps at the hospital I felt so sleepy haha). But then a couple of hours later the pain came back in vengeance and the nausea was so bad I was really scared something was wrong. I breathed through it and I think after a couple hours it went away and I was able to sleep again. Now it feels fine. GOONIGOOGOO!! Anyone else experience something similar?!?!
